Why 20 Minutes a Day?
The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes of physical activity a week which is a little more than 21 minutes a day.
Benefits of exercising 20 minutes a day:
Reduced levels of stress
Improved brain health
And now you’re probably wondering, what will 20 minutes of ANY exercise do to help my running?
If you'd like to use this Challenge to do more than run 20 minutes a day, there's huge benefits to building in cross training! Choosing another exercise other than running (cross training) can help reduce your risk of injury, maintain endurance while injured or on a break from running, grows your motivation & love for running, and more.
